What Reimage Fixes

First, the Reimage preliminary scan will detect all issues on your PC's Operating System. The repair process removes and replaces damaged files found during the scan.
During repair, Reimage not only removes damage, but also reverses the damage done to your WinOS OS by replacing corrupted and deleted files with fresh WinOS files and components from our continuously updated online database. Your PC's performance, stability and security will be restored and improved.

WinOS Issues

WinOS Issues

A WinOS issue is an issue that happens when an unexpected condition occurs or when a desired operation has failed. When you have an issue in WinOS, it may be critical and cause your programs to freeze and crash or it may be seemingly harmless yet annoying.

Blue Screen of Death

Blue Screen of Death

A stop error screen or bug check screen, commonly called a blue screen of death (also known as a BSoD, bluescreen), is caused by a fatal stystem issue and is the issue screen displayed by the Microsoft WinOS family of operating systems upon encountering a critical issue, of a non-recoverable nature, that causes the system to "crash".

Damaged DLLs

Damaged DLLs

One of the biggest causes of DLL's becoming corrupt/damaged is the practice of constantly installing and uninstalling programs. This often means that DLL's will get overwritten by newer versions when a new program is installed, for example. This causes issues for those applications and programs that still need the old version to operate. Thus, the program begins to malfunction and crash.

Freezing Computer

Freezing Computer

Computer hanging or freezing occurs when either a program or the whole system ceases to respond to inputs. In the most commonly encountered scenario, a program freezes and all WinOS belonging to the frozen program become static. Almost always, the only way to recover from a system freeze is to reboot the machine, usually by power cycling with an on/off or reset button.

Virus Damage

Virus Damage

Once your computer has been infected with a virus, it's no longer the same. After removing it with your anti-virus software, you're often left with lingering side-effects. Technically, your computer might no longer be infected, but that doesn't mean it's issue-free. Even simply removing a virus can actually harm your system.

WinOS Repair

Operating System Recovery

Reimage repairs and replaces all critical WinOS system files needed to run and restart correctly, without harming your user data. Reimage also restores compromised system settings and registry values to their default Microsoft settings. You may always return your system to its pre-repair condition.

What It Does Not Fix ?

3rd Party Programs

Our R&D team constantly works to update and improve our product to ensure its reliability as a solution to your PC issues. Please note that Reimage does not repair or replace files that belong to 3rd party programs. 3rd party programs are programs that are not included or provided with the WinOS OS. Examples of such programs include Microsoft (MS) Office, Skype, Adobe Software, ICQ, Winamp, Mozilla Firefox, iTunes, Non-MS Games, WinOS Genuine Advantage Validation.
However, in some instances after Reimage has completed its repair and restarted the system the 3rd party program that share WinOS OS files, will be restored to working order as well.

Virus Protection

Reimage is not an Antivirus application, nor does it repair compromised or damaged Antivirus software. Reimage is regarded as a complimentary solution to an antivirus, repairing the damage already left behind by the malware after it has been isolated or removed by an Antivirus. Reimage does not offer preemptive protection against malware beyond standard Microsoft security updates.
We suggest that you install and constantly update an antivirus on your PC. In addition, we suggest that you scan your system, after using Reimage to repair your PC, making sure that no malware is left hiding disguised as an OS file.

Hardware Issues

The preliminary scan assembles your overall hardware profile - Hard Drive (HD), Random Access Memory (RAM), Central Processing Unit (CPU) - and suggests parts that may need to be replaced in order to maximize your system performance. However, Reimage does not fix hardware issues.
